Ieri sera è ricominciato Voyager: ai confini della conoscenza.
Io non credo a nulla, ma non perdo mai una trasmissione del genere, sono troppo curioso.
Voyager comunque mi piace, mi piacciono i modi pacati di Giacobbo, mi piace che a discutere ci sia sempre una controparte "scientifica" (spesso il Cicap) e mi piace la quasi costante assenza di conclusioni; espongono fatti e racconti, un paio di ipotesi, senza il fanatismo spesso presente nelle persone che trattano questi argomenti. Da scettico inguaribile mi permette di guardarlo restando sereno.
La prima puntata l'hanno dedicata a Coral Castle. Ottima decisione. Storia romantica, immagini affascinanti, misteri a volontà.
Parlando di energie sottili, di levitazioni soniche, del potere del magnetismo terrestre, tirano in ballo John Worrel Keely, fondatore della Keely Motor Company per lo sviluppo della solita utopia a moto perpetuo.

Nella seconda metà dell'ottocento John Worrel Keely, inventò una serie di macchine per sollevare in aria gli oggetti e disintegrare la pietra. Keely utilizzava il suono prodotto da strumenti musicali e propagato attraverso un filo metallico. Molti i testimoni dei suoi esperimenti: da Jules Verne a Thomas Edison, tanto da spingere i grandi finanzieri dell'epoca a costituire un'azienda, la Motor Keely, impegnando ben cinque milioni di dollari nell'impresa.
Keely rifiutò però di rivelare la natura della forza "eterea" utilizzata e il conflitto con i finanziatori, lo spinse, in preda all'ira, a distruggere parte di quanto aveva scoperto e creato. Morì povero e dimenticato.
Madame Blawatsky però gli riservò un intero capitolo del suo diario: sosteneva che al signor Keely era stato concesso il permesso di oltrepassare un limite, che aveva inconsciamente scoperto la terribile forza siderale atlantidea, chiamata Miscela o Mash Mak. Una forza talmente distruttiva che in possesso di un moderno Attila ridurrebbe l'Europa al suo caotico primitivo stato in pochi giorni e senza testimoni in vita.
Ora va bene esporre fatti e teorie, ma non si può finire la descrizione di Keely in questo modo.
A Keely, come giustamente afferma Madame Blawatsky (o Blavatsky) fu permesso di oltreppassare il limite: quello dell'umana ingenuità (altrui).
Alla sua morte il laboratorio fu smantellato e fu trovato il segreto del suo motore: un bel serbatorio di aria compressa (probabilmente siderale e atlantidea) che alimentava i suoi apparati mediante un intrico di tubi nascosti nei muri del laboratorio stesso.

Preferisco non commentare invece quanto detto su Tesla. L'idea che si continui a citarlo come una sorta scienziato pazzo (lui che del rigore matematico fece virtù) mi fa uscire dai gangheri.
