Il giorno in cui il mondo fu unito.
Sabato 2 aprile 2005 alla ore 21.37 si è spento Sua Santità Papa Giovanni Paolo II, al secolo Karol Wojtyla.
Questo straordinario pontefice è stato il primo Papa globale, ma anche il primo a godere, nel compimento della Sua missione, dei vantaggi della moderna tecnologia. Non ultima internet.
Ed è proprio nella rete che troviamo manifestazione dell'affetto che il mondo prova per questa persona straordinaria.
Ho pensato, pochi minuti dopo la morte del Santo Padre, di allestire una pagina web raccogliendo immagini del servizio Google News (nei paesi dove il servizio è disponibile) a dimostrazione di come il mondo, per un giorno fu unito nell'estremo saluto al pontefice.

After I originally left a comment I have clicked on the -Notify me when new comments are added- checkbox and from now on any time a comment is added I recieve four emails with similar comment.
Perhaps there is a straightforward method you can actually remove me from that service?
