Ubuntu: se Firefox si apre senza la barra superiore di titolo e pulsanti…

ancora un pò...
Ok, a questo punto dovresti vedere la barra del titolo di Firefox, per intenderci quella che contiene il titolo (ma dai?) e i pulsanti per massimizzare, minimizzare e chiudere la finestra.
Cioè stai guardando quello che in gergo si chiama Window Decoration.
Nulla di speciale, pensi che non ne sentirai mai la mancanza, finché un giorno Firefox su Ubuntu ti si aprirà così:
Questa è una schermata catturata a pieno schermo: Firefox, privo di decoration, si è anche "mangiato" i pannelli di GNOME.
Niente panico. Per prima cosa, premere due volte F11 dovrebbe risolvere la situazione temporaneamente.
Per risolvere definitivamente il problema, almeno su Ubuntu 8.10 sul quale questo mi si è presentato, basta andare su:
Sistema -> Preferenze -> Gestore configurazione CompizConfig (potrebbe essere necessaria l'installazione dell'utilità)
Poi dalle Categorie a sinistra selezionare
Utilità -> Alternative
E rimuovere il segno di spunta da "Supporto schermo intero vecchio formato".
Voilà.
