House of the Dead: OverKill – un altro brillante spot per un videogioco.
Credo che i marketing guys nel campo dei videogiochi vivano un momento di grazia. Sempre più spesso mi capita di trovare spot e trailers in questo settore che letteralmente mi incantano.
E' il caso di House Of The Dead: Overkill, prequel della serie in uscita il prossimo anno, e il suo eccellente trailer in perfetto stile Exploitation anni '70.

Bellissimo trailer Carlo! E, visto che siamo in tema cinematografico fantastico, spero che mi concederai anche quest’anno l’onore di pubblicizzare il ‘Science plus Fiction’ festival della fantascienza di Trieste che comincia questa sera e si concluderà il 16!

Tra i vari film, vecchi e nuovi, giovedì verrà proiettata la vo di “The Day the Earth stood still / Ultimatum alla Terra” del 1952 (so che è un tuo film culto

Con estremo piacere oggi pomeriggio ruberò un po’ di tempo alla stesura della mia recensione di Ubuntu 8.10 (oramai prossima alle 10.000 battute e sono appena alla gestione dell’hardware!) per fare un post sul Festival.

Simpatico questo spot.. ha un’aria così trash..mi aspetterei quasi di veder spuntare thomas milian ad ogni cambio di scena!
In generale vado matto per film, libri o video game che richiamano periodi temporali passati (i miei preferiti si collocano dalla metà dell’ottocento agli anni ‘50) anche e (soprattutto) secondo timeline alternative alla nostra. Ultimamente per esempio Bioshock e Fallout3 ci hanno regalato un design anni ‘50 da favola. In questo senso, non so se hai avuto modo di vedere l’ultimo Fallout (io ci sto giocando su Xbox360) ma i particolari dell’architettura, degli oggetti e del setting in generale (taglio di capelli di alcuni personaggi compreso) sono davvero di impatto.

Si, mi domando se gli autori siano davvero fan del genere ho abbiano solo visto di recente Grindhouse.
Anche io condivido la tua passione, per l’esatto periodo temporale, possibilmente alternativo.
Non ho ancora visto Fallout 3, pensi di recensirlo su W&C, prima o poi?

In effetti ci stavo pensando però prima volevo giocarlo un po’, giusto per avere la possibilità di farmi un’idea decente. Al momento ho paura che la recensione sarebbe troppo positiva. Aspetto di trovare almeno qualcosa di negativo prima..
Nel frattempo sto per pubblicare un’altra recensione di un gioco per Linux per il quale contribuendo anche io per una piccolissima parte sto.

Come puoi vedere non è niente di che, però mi piace fare la mia parte per qualcosa che ritengo valido per la comunità.
