TA Episodio 23: Theremin

Pronti a fare un salto indietro nel tempo fino alla nascita del primo strumento musicale elettronico della storia?

Il Dottor Michelangelo Rocchetti, fisico ed eclettico musicista ci accompagna alla scoperta del Theremin, uno strumento musicale unico nel suo genere, inventato nel 1919 da Leon Theremin, un fisico russo e presto diventato la voce-simbolo di decine di pellicole di fantascienza ed horror.

Il theremin, pubblicizzato come "così facile che se sapete fischiare lo potete suonare" si è presto rivelato uno degli strumenti più ostici per l'esecutore: si suona avvicinando le mani a due antenne, senza punti di riferimento e con una sensibilità tale da non lasciare spazio ad errori.

Con Michelangelo affronteremo storia, leggenda e curiosità legate a questo strumento, addentrandoci nei dettagli di funzionamento (chi meglio di un fisico può illustrarcelo?), senza dimenticare un'ampia panoramica sui maggiori artisti che ne hanno esaltato il suono melodioso e caratteristico.

Ai veri geek, che dopo l'ascolto dell'episodio decideranno di cimentarsi in elettronici virtuosismi, il nostro ospite dispenserà preziosi consigli per l'acquisto e spiegherà le principali tecniche di esecuzione.

Inoltre, se tutto ciò non fosse ancora sufficiente, Michelangelo ci parlerà della spettacolare Arpa Laser costruita durante la sua attività di animatore presso il Museo Del Balì

    Cafone come sono mi sono dimenticato di fare i complimenti a Michelangelo. Lo so che è una cosa da nerd, ma il fascino di uno strumento che si suona senza toccarlo, per me che arrivo dal pianoforte, è una cosa contemporaneamente strana e che strega. Grazie ancora a Michelangelo per avermi/ci fatto scoprire questo mondo ed al “solito” Carlo per la genialità del suo podcast. Non ho veramente parole per descrivere la mia espressione mentre guardo Samuel Hoffman… e non sono nemmeno ingegnere! : - )

    Ecco finalmente oggi ho ascoltato questa favolosa puntata (perché le altre come sono? Favolose! ; - )) Comunque eccoti due informazioni. Il film di Hitchcock in cui viene utilizzato questo misterioso strumento è (in italiano) “Io ti salverò” ed oltre ad essere uno dei miei preferiti c’è un’altra chicca ossia che la scena in cui si sente suonare il Theremin è stata creata da Dalì! Assolutamente da vedere!!
    Non so se perdonerò Carlo per non essere appassionato di hitch ; - )
